Woman charged with stealing from Wal-Mart
MANSFIELD -- Chyrl L. Bloom, 53, of 51 South Main St., Apt. C, was charged by state police with retail theft recently for taking items from Wal-Mart while she grocery shopped.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, Bloom took $36 worth of items and concealed them in her coat, purse and bags which were hanging off her walker as she shopped at the store Nov. 27.
Police said she checked out and paid for her groceries but not the secreted items.
She allegedly confessed when confronted by store personnel.
She was arraigned and issued a summons to appear at a Feb. 5 preliminary hearing.
She has five previous arrests and three previous convictions for retail theft, police said.
Woman arrested for allegedly stealing
MANSFIELD - Jordon N. Spohn, 22, of 97 Newtown Hill Road, Mansfield, was charged by state police with access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property after she allegedly took gift cards and used then to purchase minutes on a cellphone.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, Spohn took two Visa gift cards with a value of $50 from her step-siblings on Dec. 29.
Spohn was out on bail on another charge with the condition that she stay in the house and she was not allowed to have a cellphone.
She was jailed in lieu of $3,000 bail and her preliminary hearing set for Jan. 8.
