Senator Ted Cruz has really made a pariah out himself with both parties. This real time remake of the old Jimmy Stewart movie," Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" really has the attention of the nation.
But really, how dare he get elected a Senator, beating out the party favorite, and then do what his constituents want him to. I'm sure his father told him stories about the greatness of America compared to Cuba and further deluded his mind by telling him how bad Castro was. And now Cruz wants to what? Follow the Constitution?! He needs to realize that the Oath of Office he took was just a formality and not to be taken seriously. He just needs to come to grips with the fact that only the "Party" is important; the "Party" means power, and power means controlling the government purse strings and controlling the populace. All this is said in sarcasm, but even in sarcasm, there is truth.
I just read a poll where Senator Cruz was named the third most influential person in America. No wonder the politicians from both parties despise him so much; he is a genuinely dangerous man to the way things are run in Washington. I hope we can send more "Mr. Cruz types" to D.C. to shrink the size of Washington, reduce spending, and get the Feds out of lives. It's what the country needs.
