Margaret Belle Kimble, 84, of South Williamsport, passed away at the Sycamore Manor, Montoursville, on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014.
Margaret was born on January 7, 1929, in Williamsport. She was the daughter of the late Clifford E. and Ruth D. (Sahm) Long.
Margaret was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church at South Williamsport.
Margaret worked at the Williamsport Hospital for 18 years in their cafeteria.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach, crocheting, going to casinos, and cooking and baking. No matter what was going on in her life her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren always came first. Margaret also had a deep love for animals and enjoyed all of her pets.
Margaret is survived by her five daughters, Judith (Thomas) Temple, of South Williamsport; Mary (Bruce) Mitchell, of Stafford, Va.; Jeannie (James) Bower, of South Williamsport; Linda Diane Andrews, of South Williamsport; and Susan (Robert) Hane, of Boalsburg. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Betty (Jeff) Nevel, of South Williamsport; and one brother, Jack (Pauline) Long, of Horseheads, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her late parents, and her brother, Donald Long, and three sisters, Alta Mae English, Beverly Barton, and Nancy Kitchen.
Funeral services for Margaret B. Kimble will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, with the Rev. A. Bruce Amee offciating.
Friends and family will be received at Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 South Howard Street, South Williamsport, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will follow at the Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
