Larry C. Neff, 68, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at The Gatehouse Hospice following a brief illness.
Larry and his wife, the former Donna L. Kelley, observed their 48th anniversary on June 26.
Larry was a 1965 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in hotel and food management. He worked most of his life for the offices of the New York Central Railroad which formed Conrail. He was a past president and secretary of the Jersey Shore Jaycees, BRAC Union of Conrail, and Keystone League of Williamsport. He was a member of St. John's-Newberry United Methodist Church, enjoyed going on cruises, working around the house, sports, and was an avid Penn State fan.
Born July 7, 1945, in Bronxville, N.Y., he was the son of John Clair and Mary Cook Neff.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Brian C., of Philadelphia; daughter, Wendy K. (Elliott) Elder, of Allentown; and grandchildren George and Beau Elder.
Larry was preceded in death by his brother Robert Neff.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at the church, 2101 Newberry St., with the Rev. Jay E. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to The American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport.
