Eight Lycoming College student teachers recently participated in mock interviews with 17 teachers and administrators from six local school districts. The interviews were organized by Marlene Cauley, elementary student teachers supervisor; Melvin Wentzel, secondary student teachers supervisor; and Kristine Datres, placement coordinator, to hone the professional skills of the student teachers and to give them feedback about their performance.
The two-hour event featured a total of 24 individual interview and feedback sessions with student teachers. As a result, each student teacher had the opportunity to experience three different sessions. The participating students were seniors Jason Breau, of Lima, N.Y.; Andrea Fitzsimmons, of South Williamsport; Danielle Frontz, of Allenwood; Caleb Huff, of Montoursville; Jenna Morgan, of Tyrone; Lyndsey Peterson, of Chalfont; Melanie Shepheard, of Williamsport; and Briana Wingrove, of Williamsport.
