President Obama attempts to justify the so-called "Affordable Care Act" by frequently referring to the virtues of equality. In his mind, everyone that is being forced into the program, in order to provide a perceived "equal opportunity", trumps the personal freedom of individual's to select the healthcare they are comfortable with.
I believe that the president would do himself a favor if he would read the book "Free to Choose" by Nobel prize winning economist Milton Friedman, who wrote: "The Society that puts equality before freedom will end up with neither, the Society that puts freedom before equality will end up with a great measure of both."
