Charles M. Hill Sr., 93, of Cogan Station passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Mission, Texas.
He was born Feb. 27, 1920, in Newberry, a son Harry and Myrtle (Rice) Hill.
Charlie was a charter member of the Faith Christian Church. He attended the Christian Church of Cogan Station and also the Central Christian Church in McAllen, Texas.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Charlie retired in 1985 from the Jersey Shore Hospital after over 25 years of service.
He enjoyed painting, gardening and planting flowers.
He is survived by two daughters, Maud E. (Jay) Peck, of Lock Haven and Evelyn M. (Don) Hamilton, of Cogan Station; two sons, Lynn R. (Vickie) Hill, of Nisbet and Max (Laura) Hill, of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Charlie was predeceased by a brother, Raymond and a sister, Doris Michaels.

Relatives and friends are invited to Charlie's Life Celebration service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with Rev. Ron Savits officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Woodward Township Cemetery.
