C. Louise Adams, 82, of 1020 Nicely Ave., Montoursville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at her home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Williamsport, a daughter of Eugene and Grace Rider Slattery.
Louise had worked at GT Grants until its closing and then went on to open and work for Value City in the Lycoming Mall, until her retirement. She was a self-taught accomplished musician and pianist, who performed with area bands throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Louise was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, loved bingo and was an avid player. In her younger days, she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. She loved family time, seeing the children and grandchildren and loved giving Christmas gifts.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold F. Adams; two sons, David S. (Terri) Adams and Richard E. Adams, both of Montoursville; a daughter, Linda S. (Daniel) Wright, of Montoursville; a brother, Paul (Shirley) Slattery, of Jeffersonville, Ind.; a sister, Diane Hilner, of Muncy; and three grandchildren, Ashley (Luke) Taylor, Brian A. (Katie) Wright and Gregory D. Wright.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville, with The Very Rev. Glenn McCreary as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
