The Williamsport Area High School class of 2014 executive board hosted the winter formal on Jan. 17. The seniors began preparing for the event in October, and the idea for their unique theme didn't take long to decide on.
"It was an idea we all seemed to agree on pretty quickly. We thought we could make some really cool decorations for it," said senior Meagan Horne.
"We definitely panicked as formal got closer and closer," Sammy Engel said. "We thought we might not get done on time. In the end, everyone pulled together as a team. It was a great evening."

The stress definitely increased as the date approached, Winters explained. "The senior class is responsible for all preparations. On the day of the formal, we select 10 juniors to help us decorate so they can see what putting together an event like this entails," she added.
One of the highlights of the evening is the crowing of the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess. This years' winners were seniors Eddie Banks and Chelsea Bloom and juniors Jed Chestnut and Elizabeth Good.
