George L. Robbins, 67, of Blue Springs Terrace, Danville, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Kramm Healthcare Center, Milton, where he resided the past few weeks.
Born July 25, 1946, in Limestone Township, Montour County, he was the son of the late Alva H. and F. Wilma (Rice) Robbins.
George attended Warrior Run High School and retired from Frito Lay, Williamsport, where he had worked 31 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending car shows and especially enjoyed Warrior Run wrestling matches. He found comfort in the company of his pet cat, Tiger.
Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Connie Robbins, of Watsontown and Dale and Nancy Smith, of Milton; a sister, Helen Dimm, of Milton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were a brother-in-law, Thomas Dimm and a niece, Nancy Landis.
Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ben Lapp, retired Mennonite pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Run Mennonite Cemetery, rural Turbotville.
