Guy Vincent Harman, 61, of Ames Place, Williamsport, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at The Gatehouse Hospice, Williamsport.
Guy was born in Williamsport on June 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Guy M. and Agnes (Nevill) Harman.
He was a long time resident of South Williamsport, where he resided with his parents. He was the greatest joy of their lives. Guy loved going on trips in the car and had a large collection of postcards from all of his adventures.
Guy became involved with the School of Hope, now Hope Enterprises, Inc., at the age of six. After graduating from IU No. 17, he continued attending Hope's many developing and growing day programs throughout the years.
Guy resided with Darlene and Sam Scaife at their home in Elimsport from October 2008 to January 2012 where he quickly became a member of their family. He went everywhere with them and was loved everywhere he went.
Guy loved Popeye the Sailorman, monkey movies, spaghetti and singing happy birthday to friends and staff on their birthdays. He was a lovable and funny person who loved to make people laugh. His "Yoo hoo, Yoo hoo's" will forever be missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from noon until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, South Williamsport.
Funeral services for Guy Vincent Harman will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home with the Rev. James R. Pentz officiating. Interment will be private.
