Shirley M. Weston, 72, of Williamsport, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.
Born June 20, 1942, in South Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Estel (Ranck) Fritz.
Shirley was a 1960 graduate of South Williamsport. She was employed by the former Rishel Furniture. Shirley was a member of Christian Church of Cogan Station and was involved in church Bible study classes. She was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Shirley enjoyed plastic canvas needlepoint work and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved and was loved by her many friends and enjoyed their companionship.
Surviving are three children, Raymond P. Smith (Bekka Gair), of South Williamsport, William I. (Chandra) Weston, of South Williamsport, and Shirley R. Waltz, of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Piage A. Waltz, Alexandra N. Weston, Andrew W. Weston, Kara N. Upright, Avery E. Weston; a brother, Paul M. Fritz, of South Williamsport; and sisters, June Newcomer, of Grand Island, N.Y. and Joan Goddard, of Montgomery.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, by Pastor Mark A. Beard, who will officiate. Interment will be at State Road Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
