Milton Rotary Club
Alec D. Felix, son of Ronni and Tim Felix, was named Milton Rotary Club Vocational Student of the Month at Warrior Run High School for the month of January.
Felix is a defender PRIDE recipient and is employed by Eat 'n Park.
Following graduation, he plans to attend Bloomsburg University and major in criminal justice. He also would like to attend the police academy to become a police officer.
Turbotville Lions Club
Benjamin W. Diggan, son of Lisa and Scott Biddinger and Jake Dunkle, was named Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month at Warrior Run High School for the month of January.
He is a member of Student Council, Defender PRIDE Club and Principal's Student Advisory Cabinet.
He also participates in varsity soccer and baseball and outside of school, plays ice hockey and likes to surf.
He has been a member of the honor roll and was previously named Milton Rotary Vocational Student of the Month.
Following graduation, he plans to attend Pittsburgh Technical Institute and major in welding and fabrication technologies.
Watsontown Lions Club
Stephanie N. Shamburg, daughter of Diann and Rich Shamburg, was named Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month at Warrior Run High School for the month of January.
She is a member of the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America. She also participates in basketball and track and field.
Shamburg is a volunteer for Kramm Nursing Home and is an assistant for third through fourth grade girls' intramurals. She also was named academic all-star for basketball and track and field.
Following graduation, Shamburg plans to attend Bloomsburg University and major in nursing.
Lindsey E. Hartman, daughter of Lisa and David Hartman, was named Outstanding Senior at Warrior Run High School for the month of January.
Hartman is a member of the National Honor Society, Defender PRIDE Club, Key Club Student Council and is the president of the French Club.
She also participates in church youth group, cross country, track and field and is the treasurer for both concert choir and the class of 2014.
She was named cross country all-star for the HAC III first team and for the Daily Item second team.
Following graduation, she plans to attend Penn State University and major in speech pathology. She plans to pursue a career in speech pathology specializing with children.
Nicholas "Nick" Mistretta, son of Santino and Cyndie Mistretta, has been selected by the faculty as the January Senior of the Month for South Williamsport Area High School.
Mistratta's activities include: Student Council (president grade 11, vice president grade 12), Teen Contact (vice president grade 12), Key Club, varsity baseball and wrestling, National Honor Society, Leo Club and Mini-Thon Committee.
During the summer he has worked at Little League Baseball camps and the Baseball Factory. He also is the recipient of the Mostellar Award for baseball sportsmanship and leadership.
Following graduation Mistretta plans to attend either Drew University or Juniata College as a pre-med major.
