Beth L. Dawes, 56, of Williamsport, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Williamsport Hospital.
Born March 28, 1957, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Clinton and Betty (Miller) Dawes, of Trout Run. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Aldora Young, brother C. Jay Dawes, and three nephews, Richard and Robert Cowher, and Jeremy Dawes.
Beth was a 1975 graduate of Williamsport High School and was a 1983 graduate of State Beauty School. Beth worked at Value City from 1990-2005, and was currently employed by the Williamsport Sun-Gazette.

Beth loved baking, gardening, and ceramics. She was a two-time cancer survivor. She was an avid KISS and Marie Osmond fan and attended several of their concerts. Beth was very loving to numerous cats and dogs throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by her dog, Chico.
Surviving are four nephews, Nick Young, of Williamsport, Michael Dawes, of Loysburg, David (Connie) Dawes, of Montoursville, and Daniel (Meredith) Dawes, of Rose Valley; a sister-in-law, Sue Ann Dawes, of Trout Run; and several great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her companion of 25 years, Douglas Minier, and her good friend Tammy Sayman, of Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Trout Run United Methodist Church, with her nephew, the Rev. Michael J. Dawes, officiating. Burial will follow in Trout Run Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Because of Beth's love for animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beth's name may be made to LAPS, 195 Phillips Dr., South Williamsport, PA, 17702.
