Martha L. Morral, 94, of Wellsboro, passed away Friday evening, Feb. 14, 2014, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro.
She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Jobs Corners, a daughter of Lewis and Emma Corwin Wright. She was married Aug. 29, 1941, to John T. Morral who passed away in 2005.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and caretaker. She was honored with a 20 years service pin for her work as a Gray Lady for the Wellsboro Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, baking, cake decorating, sewing, gardening and canning.
Her survivors include six children and their spouses, Donna and Joe Runyan, Linda and Ernie Davis, Gary and Sharon Morral and Robert and Connie Morral, all of Wellsboro, Joyce and Joe Aponte, of Fuquay Varina, N.C. and John and Sally Morral of Smartsville, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, Curtis Runyan, April Runyan-Smith, Kimberly King, Kristen Aponte, Joanne Qualler, Erin Morral, Becky Morral, Timothy Morral, Brian Morral, Christopher Morral, Anissa Jones, Jody Jones and Jeffery Morral; along with 17 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Carol and Pearl Wright, of Middlebury Center, Andrew Kaszewski, of Bath, N.Y. and Norma and Dean Wilcox, of Dade City, Fla.
She was predeceased by seven siblings, Robert Wright, Mildred Cummings, Arthur Wright, Virginia Bell, James Wright, Jerome Wright and Shirley Cadwick.
Martha's Life Celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, with Dr. Timothy Morral officiating. Interment will follow in Tioga Memorial Park. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 pm.
