Donald J. Hill, 49, of Linden, lost his courageous battle of 6 years to cancer, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, in Williamsport.
Born Jan. 9, 1965, in Williamsport, he was the son of Ralph E. and LouLinda (Keller) Hill.
Donnie was employed for 30 years at Lycoming Supply, Williamsport. He was an accomplished demolition machine operator and project superintendent.
Donnie loved going to work and enjoyed working on cars and restoring his 1946 Ford truck, watching football and a home cooked meal. Most of all he loved spending time with and doing things for his family and friends who he affectionately called "Bucky."
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Dawn Hill, of Linden; son, Andrew (Jamie) Hill, of DuBoistown; three daughters, Mindy (Caleb) Kelly, of Linden, Nichole Hill, of Lock Haven, and Amber Kohler, of Hughesville; brothers, Charles Hill, of Williamsport, Howard Hill, of Linden, Roger (Anita) Hill, of Williamsport, Darin Hill, of Liberty; two sisters, Viola (Kurt) Kilheffer, of Leola, and Tammy Cochran, of Williamsport; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cassandra Lynn Hill.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Following the visitation, a time of reflection with the family will be held at 7 p.m. at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
