John M. Dudek, 91, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at The Williamsport Home.
Born March 22, 1922, in Williamsport, he was the son of Michael and Nellie (Saboski ) Dudek. John was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille (Stoviak) Dudek, in 2010.
John was an Army World War II Veteran. He was employed at Williamsport Area High School as custodial worker and later retired as the head custodial worker at Roosevelt Jr. High School. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, VFW Post 7863 of DuBoistown, and a former member of Newberry Independent Polish Club.
Surviving are children, John "Larry" (Melissa) Dudek, of Williamsport, Dennis (Joan) Dudek, of Mercer, Francis (Sharon) Dudek, of East Berlin, and Timothy Dudek, of Williamsport; brother, Stanley "Butch" (Jackie) Dudek, of Melbourne, Fla., Jeannie Borowski, of Williamsport; grandchildren, Kristen Dudek, Matthew Dudek, Laura (Randall) Babin, Carrie Dudek, Michael (Jennifer) Dudek, Stephanie (David) Beyer, Vicki Castello, Sean (Delia) Dudek, Jeffrey Dudek, and Bethany Dudek; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Cora, Layla and Beyer, Brandon Castello, Kasen and Masden Dudek, Sean and Adelaide Babin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the Williamsport Home, 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
