Shirley K. Barnard, a follower of Christ, 89, of 321 Long Run Rd., Mill Hall, died March 2, 2014, at The Gatehouse in Williamsport.
She was born Oct. 2, 1924, in Salona, to the late Harry J. and Caroline McClintick Keller. On April 12, 1946, she married Roy Wm. Barnard who died Dec. 24, 2006.
Shirley was a homemaker and had been a clerk at Sylvania Electric for ten years. She was a life member of the Salona Lutheran Church where she had been a choir director more than 50 years. Shirley was a longtime Sunday School teacher teaching pre-school and Jr. High classes for more than 50 years. She enjoyed children and teenagers and she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley also played softball for the Sylvania Electric Team, was a participant in the BEN Follies and sang in the Lock Haven Community Chorus.

She is survived by three sons, Larry E. (Sharon) Barnard, of Cogan Station, Greg D. (Robin) Barnard, of Beech Creek and Wayne R. (Di Anne) Barnard, of Loganton; one brother, William Keller, of Salona; three grandchildren, David, Holly and Christopher Barnard; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Camryn.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Seashultz and one brother, James Keller.
Services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Salona Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl W. Runser, her pastor, officiating.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, and 1 hour prior to services in the church.
Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
The family will provide flowers & suggest contributions to the Salona Lutheran Church through the funeral home.
