Phyllis Mae Crowell Fullmer, age 68, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., following and extended illness.
Mrs. Fullmer was born in Hammond, Ind. to the late Perry and Beulah Mae Crowell. She was a surgical nurse employed at different hospitals in different states during her nursing career that spanned 48 years. She was last employed at Manchester Medical Center before her illness.
Mrs. Fullmer was a member of the Estill Springs United Methodist Church and Winchester 196 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul Fullmer Jr., of Estill Springs, Tenn.; sons, Paul (Anne) Fullmer III, of Nebraska, Jim (Pamela) Fullmer, of Kansas, and Brent Fullmer, of Ohio; grandchildren, Patrick (Evan) Fullmer, Erin (Dusty) Mihm, and Megan Fullmer, all of Nebraska, Christian Fullmer of Kansas, Sara (Andrew) Bond, of Ohio, and Nicholas Fullmer, of Washington; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Hayden Bond, sisters, Judy (Dennis) Schadle, of Ohio, and Marilyn (Ronald) Coty, of Wisconsin; three nieces; and three nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Phyllis will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the Estill Springs United Methodist Church with Bro. Joe Rutherford, officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. A funeral ceremony will begin the service by Winchester No. 196 Order of the Eastern Star.
