On Thursday, join Wayne Laubscher, a member of Lycoming Audubon, and the Northcentral Pennsylva-nia Conservancy for a lunch-time bird watch on the Susquehanna River Walk.
Extra binoculars can be borrowed and a spotting scope will be set up from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Williamsport side of the river near the Market Street Bridge. Just look for the group of people with binoculars.
Residents are invited to walk over with a lunch (or while you eat your lunch) and check out the birds and other wildlife along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Come for a few minutes, or the full two hours.
Laubscher, an expert birder, will provide information about what the group sees during the bird watch. He's participated in a number of research projects related to birds - from peregrines to barn owls - and is a wealth of knowledge. Attendees are sure to learn something new.
