Family style turkey dinner
A family style turkey dinner will be held from 3:30-6:30 p.m. in the Christian Life Center at First United Methodist Church, 601 Market St. Cost is $8.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 6-10 and free for those under 5. Takeouts available for $8.50.
Chili cook-off scheduled
A chili cook-off will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Fleming Center, 720 W. Fourth St., from noon-3 p.m. Admission is $5 each. Free for those 5 and under.
Hymn sing scheduled
CALVERT - The Beech Valley United Methodist Church, 30 Beech Valley Road, will hold a hymn sing at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the Community Hall after the program.
Chicken and pot pie dinner
MONTGOMERY - St. John Lutheran "Brick" Church, Route 405, will hold a chicken and ham potpie dinner from 4:30-6 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for ages 6-10 and free for those under 6.
Free soup luncheon
Central Baptist Church, 601 Seventh Ave., will hold a free soup luncheon from noon-1:30 p.m.
JERSEY SHORE - St. Luke's Catholic Church, 118 Kendall Ave., will hold its 67th annual spaghetti lunch and dinner with servings from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Takeouts available all day. Advance tickets cost $7 ($7.50 at the door), $2.50 for children 6-12 and free for children under 6.
Family Thrift Shop open
The Family Thrift Shop will be open from 8 a.m. to noon at Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Church Road, Montoursville.
MILL HALL - The theme for the March luncheon of the Lock Haven Christian Women's Club is "Eggs-travaganza." The luncheon begins at noon at Aungst's banquet facility. The cost of $12 includes lunch, entertainment, an inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. Ladies attending the luncheon are asked to use the side parking lot. PENNSDALE - Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, will hold an all-you-can-eat buffet catered by Springman's Country Store from 4-7 p.m. featuring spit-fired chicken quarters and pit-smoked pulled pork barbecue. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-10 and gree for children under 5 years. Takeouts are available for $10 each.

WATSONTOWN - A free fellowship meal will he held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, featuring baked haddock.
Craft event scheduled
Central Baptist Church, 601 Seventh Ave., will hold a new community program at 11 a.m. for those who enjoy crafts such as knitting, crochet or embroidery or would like to learn how. A light lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and a movie at 1 p.m.

LINDEN - Pine Run United Methodist Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, 1.7 miles north of Route 220 (turn at Sheetz) will host an arts and crafts bazaar from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods will be available from the church kitchen.

Godspell, a musical based on the Gospel of St. Matthew, will be performed by the Sweet Charity Players, under the direction of Warren Shotto, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Boniface Parish. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.dioceseofscranton.org or by calling the office for parish life at 570-207-2213. Tickets will also be available at the door. The performance will benefit Lia Hart, a local 5-year-old who has liver cancer.
Seder Meal scheduled
Ohev Sholom Congregation, 1501 Cherry St., invites the community to its annual annual Passover Community Seder with services at 6:45 p.m. and the Seder to take place immediately thereafter. Passover is one of the major Jewish holidays of the year and commemorates the freeing of the Jewish People from the Land of Egypt and their becoming a nation as told in the Book of Exodus in the Bible. The Seder is an annual retelling of the story followed by a sumptuous holiday meal. This year's Seder will be led by Rabbi Joel Kessler and will be catered by Boscov's A La Carte Kosher Catering. Cost for the Seder is $25 for adults, $12 for children 6-13 and free for those 5 and under. Reservations can be made by sending your check to the synagogue.
