Margaret H. "Peg" Westphal, 64, of Montoursville, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 31, 1949, in Williamsport, a daughter of William and Helen Warfield Knight.
Peg had worked for various banks in the Williamsport area and was a member of New Covenant Full Gospel Church. She was known for her baking and pies.
She is survived by her mother, Helen J. Simms, of Loyalsock Township; her husband of 46 years, Edward L. Westphal; a son, Todd C. (Mandi) Westphal, of South Williamsport; two daughters, Stephanie L. Mook and Leslie A. Ward, both of Montoursville; two sisters, Diane (Vick) Apker, of Loyalsock Township and Sharon (Jeff) Schwartz, of Tyler, Texas; three brothers, John (Daryl) Simms and Michael (Peggy) Knight, both of Montoursville and Matt (Shannon) Knight, of Loyalsock Township; and two grandsons, Ethan and Elijah.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Rev. Gary L. Smith officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her husband to help defray expenses.
