Charles R. "Butch" Yarison Jr., 55, of South Williamsport, passed away at Presbyterian U.P.M.C. in Pittsburgh on Tuesday March 18, 2014, while surrounded by his family.
Butch was born in Williamsport on Oct. 10, 1958, a son of Charles R. and Noreen Tietbohl Yarison Sr.
A construction worker Butch had previously worked for Turn Key Construction, he was a former member of Masonic Lodge 719 South Williamsport, a member of Sons of Italy Lodge 2786, Laurel Run Hunting Club coached South Williamsport T-ball and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Butch was an avid Eagles fan. He enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. Being very family oriented, he enjoyed spending time with family and especially going to his grandchildren activities.
Surviving are his friend of 37 years and his wife of 20 years, the former Linda S. Girio; daughter, Jamie (Justin) Wray, of Williamsport; stepson, Tyler Mausteller (fiancee Serena Culp), of Williamsport; grandchildren, Brian N. Baysore Jr., and Taylor Wray; father and stepmother, Charles R. Yarison Sr. and Mary, of Pelzer, S.C.; and mother and stepfather, Noreen Kahley and Robert, of Elimsport; siblings, Robert (Annette) Buss, of Elimsport, Kathy (John) Hurley, of Williamsport, Charles Buss, of Williamsport, Cyndi (Mike) Bayley, of Picture Rocks, David Yarison, of Harrisburg, Michele (brother-in-law, good friend and fellow Eagles fan, Anthony) Caputo, of Williamsport, Michael Kahley, of Elimsport, Kathy (Jim) McGlorkin of South Carolina and Cindy (Bob) Grud of Sherwood, Fla.; father-in-law, Joseph R. Girio, of Berwick; brother-in-law, Chris (Lori) Girio, of Hughesville; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Douglas) Hofford, of Montoursville, Marcia (Anthony) Tanner, of South Williamsport; many nieces and nephews; and was a father figure for William Adams.
His mother-in-law, Doris E. Girio; grandparents, Claude and Margaret Tietbohl; and paternal grandparents, Cy and Rosanna Yarison preceded him in death.
The family will receive family and friends at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with Msgr. Stephen D. McGough officiating.
