William L. Blair, 67, of 62 Norwood Dr., Williamsport, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 23, 1946, in Saxton, the son of LeRoy W. and Mildred A. Hoover Blair.
William was a Vietnam Army Veteran and retired as an engineer from Verizon. He was a member of Balls Mills United Methodist Church since 1985 and his enjoyment was the family farm, hunting, and his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents, William E. and Dorothy A. Hinish Hoover.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, the former Donna S. Slusser; three sons, Frederick A. (Karen) Trego, of Glenn Rock, and twins, William L. and Jonathan D. Blair, both of Williamsport; two daughters, Lisa T. Deyo, of Mechanicsburg, and Megan E. (Jeremy) Martin, of Flagstaff, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Cyrus, Nathaniel and Benjamin Trego, and Briella Blair; an uncle, Gilbert Hoover, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, at Balls Mills United Methodist Church, 5941 Bloomingrove Rd., Cogan Station, with Pastor Chris E. Pfleegor officiating. Interment will follow in LongWood Sanctuary. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the elevator fund of the church.
