Barbara A. Koch, 76, of Watsontown, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born Aug. 27, 1937, in New Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elva (Frederick) Walker. On July 2, 1966, she married Lawrence Dison Koch Jr. and they celebrated 33 years of marriage until his death on Nov. 24, 1999.
She was a Born Again Christian and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Turbotville. Barbara worked for Philco and later the Zenith Corporation, Watsontown, and was a graduate of Milton High School. She was a member of the Milton Senior Center, the Christian Women's group out of the East District Mennonite Church, Watsontown, and volunteered for the Dewart voting center. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and sold her towels at the Watsontown yard sales. Barbara especially loved her cats.
Surviving are sons, Todd (Tina) Noll, of Milton, Terry (Hye) Koch, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Raymond Koch, of Watsontown; stepchildren, Eric (Shirley) Koch, of Lewistown, Rusty (Rhonda) Koch, of Eyers Grove, Corey Koch, of Montandon and Camilla Koch, of Ithaca, N.Y.; brothers, Samuel (Audrice) Walker Jr., of New Columbia and Harry Walker, of Allenwood; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a stepson, Dennis Koch and a sister, Diane Wiser.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Bethel Baptist Church, 4135 State Route 54, Turbotville, where the funeral will be held at noon Friday with Pastor Ronald Bixler, officiating. Burial will follow in Webster's Cemetery, Huntersville.
