Kathleen "Kathie" Teresa D'Orazio, 56, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday evening, April 1, 2014, at her home surrounded by the love of family and friends.
She was born March 31, 1958, in Williamsport, and was the daughter of Donald F. Karaffa and the late Maggie Karaffa. She married PJ D'Orazio on Sept. 3, 1983. Together they celebrated 30 years of marriage.
Kathie was a 1976 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School. She worked in the field of cosmetology for 30 years. Kathie was a member of the Christian Church at Cogan Station where she taught Sunday School and was a member of Hope Mission Teams to Diamond Willow Ministries of South Dakota and Pascagoula, Miss., after Hurricane Katrina. She coached Special Olympics, and she volunteered for Challenger League Baseball.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her daughter, Devon Ann D'Orazio; four siblings, Lynn (Verlyn) Claxton, of Concord, N.C., Don (Kim) Karaffa, of Cogan Station, Dave (Debbye) Karaffa, of Santa Ana, California, Mary (Joe) McNutt, of Williamsport; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the Christian Church at Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station, PA 17728.
Kathie was a faithful follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and wished to share a favorite scripture: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9
