Nicholas Albert Rosato, 91, of Williamsport, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born May 13, 1922, in Williamsport, he was a son of Albert J. Rosato and Hazel Rosato.
Nick attended school in Williamsport and Rochester, N.Y. He joined the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) in the 1930s.

Nick married Grace Marie Liberti in 1942. With the advent of World War II, Nick joined the Navy and served in the Aleutian Islands. Nick was born with the heart of an artist, earning awards in high school and in the Navy. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Nick pursued his life's work as an illustrator for the Grit Publishing Company. Nick's true love was nature demonstrated by his fine art works of wildlife and landscapes. His artwork has been seen in numerous books and magazines, including Field & Stream, and Pennsylvania Angler. Most noticeable were his years of service with the Pennsylvania Game News, where his artwork donned numerous covers, stories and the Field Notes, for which he was recently honored in Harrisburg.
Nick was preceded in death by his wife who passed in 1975.
Nick is survived by his children, Sharon Sawyer (William), of Athens, Pa., Albert (Bev), of Berkeley Springs, W. Va., Gary (Diana), of Williamsport and Niki Smith (Rick), of Williamsport. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 800 Mulberry St., Montoursville, with Rev. John K. Manno officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
