300-yard F-class/heavy varmint rifle shoots will be held May 25, June 29, July 27, Aug. 24 and Sept. 28. Sign-up at 9:30 a.m.; shoots start at 10. Cost is $10. Forty rounds, unlimited sighters, 30 minutes for each 20 rounds. Any centerfire rifle with power scope and muzzle brakes allowed. Two classes - Unlimited, shot from benches with adjustable front rest and rear bag; and tactical, shot from the group with front bipod and rear bag. Targets are two sheets with double bullseye; 20 shots per sheet; separate sighter target provided. Eye and ear protection required for shooters and spectators. Single shots only. Safety rules enforced.

Beginners Firearms Safety Course: Participants will learn how to safely load a firearm, safely unload a firearm, safe clearing procedures, basic pistol shooting skills, the differences between a revolver and semi-automatic pistol and how to shoot each one, and more. Three-hour classes will be held April 15, 22, 29; and May 6, 13, 20, 27.
Ladies 5-week program: Classroom training on firearms safety and handling as well as tactics in self-defense, in particular, dealing with home invasions. Participants must attend each date. Upcoming programs will be held Wednesdays from May 14 to June 11.
