Stanley L. Wilston, 82, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services North, Williamsport.
Born Nov. 19, 1931, he was a son of Floyd and Loretta (Elliot) Wilston. He married the former Frances M. Wesneski.
Stan graduated from Canton High School, Class of 1950. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War and was a member of the Canton V.F.W. Stan worked for 43 years at Bastian Tire Sales and retired at the age of 81, he was affectionately known as "Stan the Tire Man."

Surviving in addition to his wife, Frances, are two daughters, Tamela R. Smith (William) and Gail M. Mahaffey (Mark), both of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Terri Wilston-Bashnick and Zac Mahaffey (Samantha); three great-grandchildren, Sophia and Skylar Bashnick and Alexandrea Mahaffey; and one sister, Pauline Cole, of Gillette.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Donald and Jack Wilston, and Doris Williams.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 21 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will be held at Wildwood Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Jersey Shore Veterans. A visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Sanders.
