Tarry M. Tubbs, 55, of 1205 Twin Creek Road, Charlotte, Tenn., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
He was born on Aug. 14, 1958, in Coudersport and was the son of Charles and Melva Tubbs.
Tarry attended Galeton High School. He was a skilled welder most of his life, and spent the past few years living his dream playing bass guitar with bands in Nashville, Tenn. Known for his smile, big heart and good spirit, he will greatly be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by a son, Ryan Tubbs of Charlotte, Tenn.; a daughter, Tara (Edward) Silva; one grandchild, Kane Silva, of Trout Run; five brothers, Charles Tubbs, of Ulysses, Barry Tubbs, of Mills, Wade Tubbs, of Harrison Valley, Marlin Tubbs, of Williamsport, Earl Tubbs, of Harrison Valley; and six sisters, Charlotte Schweigart, of Mills, Sonya Amos, of Burlington, N.J., Valerie McCaslin, of Linden, Lori Walker, of Osceola, Annie Tubbs, of Olean, N.Y., Yvonne Emerson, of Shongo, N.Y.
He was predeceased by a sister, Elaine Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April, 30 2014, in Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, 1301 Clayton Ave., Williamsport, with Reverend Michael Swimley officiating.
Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. A celebration of life is to follow.
