Ronald C. Burrows, 65, of Williamsport, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born May 5, 1948, in Williamsport, he was a son of Clayton Elwood and Florence May (McQuillen) Burrows. He married the former Susan D. McNamara on Aug. 11, 1978, and they spent 35 years together.
Ron graduated from Lycoming College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked as a medical technician. Ron was an avid Penn State, Pittsburgh Steelers and Syracuse Orange fan. He also enjoyed playing chess and tennis, coin collecting, and was involved with the Brandon Little League.
Surviving in addition to wife are two children, Ashley Page Marshall (Kirk), of Williamsport and Benjamin McNamara Burrows, of Syracuse, N.Y.; two grandsons, Kyle Martin and Klayton Thomas Marshall; and four siblings, Pat Jester (Tuck), of Deerfield, Ill., Donna Crouse (Bill), of Trout Run, Phillip Burrows (Nancy), of Hilton, N.Y., and Nancy Vassallo (Daniel), of Williamsport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Becky Chestnut; and a brother, Barry Burrows.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
