TROY - The inaugural Chief Wetona Challenge Trail Run will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 18 at Mt. Pisgah State Park.
The race, which follows a clearly marked 7-mile course through the woods and on paths, includes obstacles such as rocks, tree roots, grass, dirt, hills and a stream or two.
Runners are advised that the will get muddy.
A registration fee applies. Prizes will be given to top runners in male and female age groups.
Race day registration and bib pickup is 8:30 to 10 a.m., and the race leaves from the Hillside Pavilion.

Mt. Pisgah State Park is 3 miles off Route 6 between Troy and Towanda. It is open daily from sunrise to sunset for hiking and other environment-related activities.
