Muriel Ellen Vanemon, 83, widow of William Vanemon, of 125 Locust St., Jersey Shore, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born June 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert B and Ellen (Fremberg) Stark.
She was a homemaker all of her life, and her children were precious to her.
Muriel was a member of Fairplay Gospel Fellowship Church in Jersey Shore.
She is survived by four sons, Melivin Vanemon (Lori), of Jersey Shore, Steven Vanemon (Deborah), of Jersey Shore, Andrew Vanemon (Bonnie), of Canton and Wayne Vanemon (Debbie), of South Williamsport; a daughter, Lorraine Nobel of Wichita Falls, Texas; two brothers, Bruce Stark (Lois), of Syracuse, N.Y., and Carl Stark (Rose), of Jersey Shore; a sister, Elizabeth Shoemaker (Butch Gross), of Allenwood; 12 grandchildren, Robert Nobel, Denise Casey, Bethany Razavizadeh, Amy Vanemon, Seltzer, Ashley Vanemon, Alanna Vanemon, Shannon Vanemon Lynn, Jason (Jake) Vanemon, Sara Beth Vanemon, Michael Vanemon, Donald Vanemon and Chadd Vanemon; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband and parents, she was predceased by a sister, Carmen Kreger.
Muriel enjoyed the fellowship of her church family and spending time with her grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Fairplay Gospel Fellowship Church, 1625 Walnut St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740, with Rev. Michael A Guiswite officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Sunday May 4, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Final interment will be held in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be made in Muriel's name to her church.
