Lycoming Nursery School to hold May events
Lycoming Nursery School, 825 Arch St. will hold the following events in May:
6:30 p.m. Wednesday - May Celebration at Stevens Primary School, 1150 Louisa St.
9:30 a.m. Wednesday - Hiawatha preschool party.
9:30 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday - Open house for 2014 school year registration.
9:30 a.m. May 14 - Carnival at the preschool.
Myers Elementary to present spring concert
MUNCY - The Myers Elementary School choruses will present a spring concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Muncy High School auditorium, 200 W. Penn St. The groups performing will be the sixth, fifth and fourth grade choruses, and the Myers honors chorus.
Selections for the program will include the fourth grade chorus singing the Steven Foster tune "Oh, Susanna" and "Do, Re, Mi" from "The Sound of Music," by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
The fifth grade chorus will sing "Walk Tall," by Strommen and "Just Sing a Song," by Gallina. A Neil Johnson selection entitled "A Life On the Ocean Wave" and "Just One of Those Songs," arranged by Althouse will be sung by the sixth grade chorus.
The Myers honors chorus will sing "Send Down the Rain," by Eilers and "Catch a Falling Star," arranged by Gilpin. The concert will conclude with all of the choruses joining together to perform the Lee Greenwood song, "God Bless the U.S.A."
The elementary choruses are under the direction of George A. Henry. Lucille Buck is the accompanist for the choruses. The public is invited to attend the concert.
Home Grown Players to present 'Peter Pan'
The Home Grown Players, presented by the Christian Home Educators Fellowship of Lycoming County, will present "Peter Pan," a musical based on the play by Sir J.M. Barrie.
Performances will be held at 7 p.m. May 22 and 23 at Community Baptist Church, 1857 Route 87, Montoursville.
Admission will be made by donation.
