Lillian Ruth Satterly, 92, of Wellsboro, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Green Home. She was the wife of Robert C. Satterly, who preceded her in death.
Lillian was born Sept. 25, 1921, in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Glen and Sarah (Priset) Jenkins.
She was a graduate of Wellsboro High School. Lillian was a member of First Baptist Church of Wellsboro. She was active early on in life as a Bible School teacher and deaconess. Lillian loved Florida and enjoyed her cat, Punkie. She loved her family very much and was an accomplished homemaker.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Lamont and Suzanne Satterly, of Maple Glen; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Ryan Ramsey, of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Jaimee Stansell and husband, Jeremy, of Commerce, Ga., Brent Satterly and husband, Don Dyson, of Westmont, N.J.; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and her sister, M. Frances Williams, of Wellsboro.
Lillian was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Jenkins and grandson, Matthew Satterly, in 2009.
Friends and family are invited to Lillian's Life Celebration on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from noon to 1 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral service to follow with her pastor, Rev. Jeff McCleary, officiating. Burial in Wellsboro Cemetery.
