Harold G. Thomas, 95, of Williamsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Rose View Manor.
Born July 15, 1918, in Williamsport, he was a son of Fred and Myrtle (Schmoel) Thomas.
Harold was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of Heshbon Park United Methodist Church. Harold enjoyed farming, gardening and working around the house.
Surviving are a son, Glenn F. Thomas, of Williamsport; a daughter, Ida Mae Sholder, of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Holly and Floyd Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jake; and a sister, Marion Williams, of Williamsport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 years, Esther, in 2003; and five siblings, Carl, Meril, Charles, Robert, and Grace Kinney.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will be held at Twin Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at Sanders.
