Richard R. Dincher, a resident of Williamsport, passed away peacefully at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Unit on Friday, May 23, 2014.
Born March 7, 1929, in Williamsport, he was the son of Joseph and Florence (Gaus) Dincher.
He is survived by three sons, Christopher (Rose Marie), Robert (Mary) and Gary (Patty), of Williamsport; one daughter, Ann (Tim), of Virginia.; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Father Carl Dincher, S.J., of India; two sisters, Barbara Shurer, of Williamsport, and Mary Jo Murray, of Florida; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Dincher.
A brother, Louis preceded him in death.
Richard worked for many years as a butcher, as-well-as a wallpaperer and a painter. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
There will be a private family visitation at Crouse's Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St. on Sunday, May 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 26, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., with his pastor, Monsignor Stephen McGough, officiating.
