Maxine E. Robinson, 78, of Linden, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Sycamore Manor Health Center.
Born Jan. 9, 1936, in Salladasburg, she was a daughter of Clyde S. and Laura (Hauck) Waltz.
Maxine was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School, and was in charge of many of her class reunions. She worked as a secretary in the business office of the Williamsport Hospital before retiring in 1999. She was also an Avon representative for 50 years.
Maxine was a member of the Pine Run United Methodist Church where she served as a mission chairman, sang in the choir, was in charge of dinners for the church, and was on the kitchen committee. She was a member of Pine Run Grange No. 250 since 1945 where she was a master and longtime secretary. She was also a member of Pomona Grange where she served as their treasurer and a member of the State and National Grange. She was a member of the Jersey Shore Senior Citizens and the Newberry Lioness Club. Maxine also enjoyed crocheting and needlework.
Surviving are three children, Brian (Sandy) Robinson, of New Holland, the Rev. Brent (Nancy) Robinson, of Easton, and Brenda (Dave) Frontz, of Allenwood; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Mildred Waltz; infant daughter, Bonnie Robinson; sister, Pauline Notary; and brother, Stanley Waltz.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21, 11 a.m. at Pine Run United Methodist Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, Linden, PA 17744.
