WELLSBORO - The June meeting of the Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will be held at 7 p.m. June 16 at the Gmeiner Arts and Cultural Center at 134 Main St.
After a business meeting and a show and tell of members' recent quilt projects the guild will be treated to a trunk show by Caren Betlinski.

Thread painting is the applique of threads to add details and shading to background fabrics.
Some of her quilts are entirely thread applique on a fabric background.
Sixteen members attended a workshop recently to learn the Mola technique from visiting quilt teacher and speaker Cathy Miller.
The guild members who attended Charity Quilting Day completed a red, white and blue quilt top for the quilts of valor project.
Anya Tyson's Jane Stickle quilt has been accepted into the International Quilt Show in Houston, Texas, and will travel to other quilt shows over the next year.
The July speaker will be national quilt teacher Kim Diehl who will present a lecture and trunk show on July 28 and a workshop on July 29.
Diehl's quilts have been featured in many quilting magazines.
All meetings are open to the public. Quilters of all abilities are invited to join the guild at any time.
