Born April 4, 1924, in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Francis B. and Mary E. Farrell McMahon.

She was a devoted Notre Dame fan who also enjoyed traveling. An avid reader, she loved current events and politics along with caring for her many plants and flowers. Above all, she was happiest spending time with her immediate and extended family and friends.
