Carole Lynn Emig, 61, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center, Williamsport.
Born Oct. 8, 1952, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Wilmer L. and Shirley R. (Romig) Nyman. She was a 1971 graduate of Williamsport Area High School and a graduate of the State Beauty School, Williamsport. Prior to her illness, Carole was employed as a Unit Clerk at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. She was also employed at the Wise Market as a deli clerk. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Williamsport, and the Friends of the National Parks at Gettysburg. She enjoyed spending time in Gettysburg and helping to preserve its history.
Surviving are a son, Justin S. Emig ,of Williamsport and two sisters, Marjeana R. (Harry) Masker, of Mt. Carmel, and Leeanna L. (Stephen) Clark, of Williamsport.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church, 2 Ross St., Williamsport. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carole's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701, or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 2405 Park Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17011.
