James R. Shadle, 69 of 305 Henry St., Jersey Shore, passed away June 20, 2014 at the Williamsport Regional Hospital.
He was born in Lock Haven Oct. 1, 1944, to the late John J. Shadle and Catherine Dutton Shadle of Lock Haven.
James was united in marriage to Rebecca Young Shadle, who preceded him in death Nov. 12, 2000.
He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam as a Sergeant Drill Instructor and had worked for Lucas Trucking for over 31 years retiring in 2006. Jim enjoyed bowling, NASCAR and spending quality time with his family.
Survivors include a son: Dale (Stephanie) Shadle, of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Jean Marie (William) Bair, of Altoona; two brothers, John (Dot) Shadle, of Easton; and Kenneth (Karen) Shadle, of Mill Hall.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Alexa Shadle, Shawn Shadle and Elizabeth Bair.
Jim is also survived by his companion, Linda M. Zimmerman and her family, David (Chanelle) Zimmerman and family; Diane (Andrew) Fera and family; and Tonya (Marc) Stocum and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca; a brother, Robert Shadle; and a sister, Jean Marie Shadle.
Funeral services will be held on Monday June 23, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven.
Officiating will be Pastor Grant Helsel of the Avis Grace Fellowship Church.
Family and friends will be received in the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park with Full Military Honors.
