JERSEY SHORE - The Lycoming County Conservation District will hold a No-Till and Cover Crop Field Day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 24 at T.A. Seeds, 39 Seeds Lane.
"The field day will be an opportunity for farmers to learn from other producers how to save money on input costs, improve the quality of the soil, and at the same time reduce pollution in our local watersheds," said Tim Heyler, agricultural conservation technician with the district. "We are excited to offer this field day to farmers in our area."
The agenda will include presentations on "Making a Successful Transition to No-Till, Cover Cropping for the 21st Century" and "No-Till Equipment Setup."
Attendees will tour T.A. Seeds' processing facility and cover crop demonstration plots.
Lunch will be provided. There is no cost to attend, but registration is encouraged.
