Frank A. Rampulla, 58, of Lemoyne, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.
Frank was born in Williamsport on Oct. 10, 1955, the son of Anthony J. Sr. and Nataline A. Tagliaferri Rampulla. He was a 1973 graduate of Williamsport High School and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Kutztown University. While in high school he wrestled, played football and baseball; in college he participated in college baseball and went on to play semi-pro baseball. Frank was an avid sports fan, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, and also coached basketball, soccer and baseball. Frank was known for his great sense of humor.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg and had been employed in publishing for 25 years as a district manager and then as the vice president of Stackpole Books.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, the former Reba L. Roy, three daughters Nicole (Louis) Miele, of Loyalsock Township, Shannon (Jeffrey) Millay, of Loyalsock Township, Allison West, of Shermans Dale; two sons, Andrew and Alexander Rampulla, both of State College; six grandchildren, Sabrina, Sarah, Louis, Spencer, Angelina and Lorenzo; and two brothers, Anthony J. (Heidi) Rampulla Jr., Michael A. (Cheryl) Rampulla, both of Williamsport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maria A. Rampulla, in 1999.
The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport.
Burial in Wildwood Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
