Free family films in Lewisburg this summer

LEWISBURG - The Free Family Film Series at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market St., will offer animated and classic family films through Aug. 12. Films will be introduced by academic professionals who will offer film enthusiasts of all ages new perspectives to consider during their film viewing experience. The Summer Family Film Series will show only G and PG rated films and free admission will make this programming accessible to all. Upcoming screenings include "The Princess Bride" on July 22 and "E.T." on July 29. "The Princess Bride" will be introduced by Virginia Zimmerman, Bucknell University professor of English. Her discussion topic is, "What makes fairy tales different from other books?" "E.T." will be introduced by Clare Sammells, Bucknell University assistant professor of anthropology. Her topic is "Culture Shock - How individuals from different backgrounds can bridge their differences."
