Mary H. Dill, 88, of 1701 Alvin Ave., Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at her son's home.
She was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Wellsboro, the daughter of Leo and Ethelwynne Smith Hess.
Mary retired as a school teacher from the Williamsport School District. She was a member of the Covenant Central Presbyterian Church and volunteered for the Shepherd of the Streets.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, E. Lamont Dill; and a brother, James L. Hess Jr.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Stephen J. (Karen), of Frederick, Md. and Richard L. (Pamela), of Williamsport; a daughter, Terri J. Dill, of Ephrata; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Covenant Central Presbyterian Church, 807 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Elizabeth B. Affsprung officiating. Interment will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Covenant Central Presbyterian Church, Shepherd of the Streets, 669 Center St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to Yokefellow, 1200 Almond St., Williamsport.
