Charles Noble Reamer, 82, long time Williamsport resident, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at The Williamsport Home.
Born at South Williamsport on July 16, 1932, He was the son of the late Charles Noble and Phylis Rose Atkinson Reamer.
Mr. Reamer had been employed by the former Avco Lycoming, now Textron for 42 years in the tool design department .
Charles was a graduate of the South Williamsport High School, Class of 1950. He was a graduate of the former Williamsport Technical Institute, now Pennsylvania College of Technology and had also attended Temple University.
Mr. Reamer served his country with honor in The United States Army.
He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church at Williamsport and had served on the church vestry. He had also been the Boy Scout Leader at the Church. He was a member of the Wheel Inn at Roaring Branch. He enjoyed using his skills with his computer.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher "Randy" (Mary) Reamer of Brewster, N.Y., his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Joy (David) Ott of South Williamsport, four grandchildren, Caitlin Reamer, Janine Reamer, Dane (Heather) Ott, and Evan Ott. Also surviving is his sister, Mary Reamer Sortman of Williamsport.
In addition to his late parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, the former Shirley Jane (Miller) Reamer and his sister, Jane Laughton.
The funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Wildwood Cemetery.
