John P. Eisemann, 83, died on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Doris, the former Doris L. Kling.
Born on May 4, 1931, in Lock Haven, he was the son of Frederick J. Eisemann, and Ruth Reutter Eisemann.
John was a 1949 graduate of Lock Haven High School, attended Penn State, Altoona and Watchmaker School, in Lancaster.
He was the owner of J. C. Greenya Jewelers and retired in 1992. John was a member of Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, where he served as lay leader, attended church conferences and was a member of United Methodist Men.
John assisted with many projects at Sojourner Truth Ministries. He volunteered with the American Rescue Workers, Gideons International, collected Bibles for distribution in third world countries and worked with Hospice and Meals on Wheels. John served his country in the U.S. Air Force
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Deborah (David) Marks, of Greentown and a brother, William Eisemann, of Lock Haven.
John was predeceased by his brother, Frederick R. Eisemann, of Lock Haven.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery, with his pastor Michael Swimley and Colonel Sam Astin officiating.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, 1301 Clayton Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to Sojourner Truth Ministries, 500 High St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
