A city man accused of about $9,900 worth of alleged Medicaid fraud faces the charges in U.S. Middle District Court.
Ronald McAdams, 57, has been charged with felony health care fraud based on submitting false claims to the Medicaid waiver program, according to U.S. Attorney Peter J. Smith.
The information in an indictment alleges McAdams billed for and received reimbursement for attendant care services, which never were performed, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Wayne Samuelson.
The maximum penalty under the federal statute is 10 years imprisonment, and a fine of $250,000.
