Zelda M. Antoine, 81, of Lawrenceville, passed away at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014. She was the widow of Norman E. Antoine, who preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1995.
Zelda was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Scranton, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Marian (Colvin) Reynolds. She was a graduate of Nicholson High School, Class of 1950, and a graduate of Robert Packer School of Nursing. Zelda was a registered nurse in Wellsboro and worked for over forty years. She was of the Methodist faith. Zelda was a founding member of the Wellsboro Women's Chorus.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Kaufman (Kris), Nelson; sons, Ty Antoine of Marysville, Brion Antoine of Elkland; son and daughter-in-law, Blaine Antoine (Diane) of Washington, Del.; seven grandchildren, Elias, Gabriel, Shayna, Brian, Chris, Tyler and Ashley; sisters, Dawn Kephart (Clair) of East Stroudsburg, and Sydney Allinen (Jerome) of Cove City, N.C. Zelda was preceded in death by her son, Todd R. Antoine, March 15, 1980.
Friends and family are invited to Zelda's Life Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home", 139 Main Street, Wellsboro. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Lusk officiating. Burial in Tioga County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
